The Joensuu Bunker Museum
The Joensuu Bunker Museum is part of the largest construction project in Finnish history – a fortification called the Salpalinja. The Bunker Museum is situated in Marjala, 8 km from the city centre towards Kuopio.
The Museum area includes two lighted and heated steel-reinforced concrete dugouts, weapons and artefacts, trenches, machine gun nests and tank obstacle stones. The canteen and campfi re services are provided by Sotilaspojat. The Bunker museum can be reached by local buses.
