The Lauri and Lasse Reitz Foundation Museum

The Lauri and Lasse Reitz Foundation Museum displays the art and antique collection of Lauri Reitz, one of the most renowned master builders of his time. The collector’s wife, Maria Reitz, established the foundation in her will. Alongside her husband she wished to honour the memory of her son Lasse, who had died young. The home museum was opened to the public in 1971. It exhibits 19th century Finnish painting as well as handicraft from the 16th to the 19th century including silver and china items, arms and furniture.
