Haltiala Farm
The Haltiala farm is a piece of Finnish countryside located within Helsinki’s city boundaries. The farm contains several buildings that were part of the old Manor grounds, as well as a barn to house the domestic animals. The farm is surrounded by wide cultivated fields and is a highly valued cultural landscape.
The Haltiala Farm is very interesting place to visit and an excellent example of a Finnish working farm where visitors can experience farm life and learn about the domestic animals that live on the farm.
The fields are sown with traditional crops but also peas and flowers that are free to be picked on July to August. The fields grow for example sunflowers, cornflowers and flax.
