HELSINKI CONTEMPORARY focuses on artists who take a physical, in-depth approach to their work. Its priorities are based on needs of the works and their creators, the gallery’s artists.
HELSINKI CONTEMPORARY will, in addition to presenting painting, sculpture and photographic works in the gallery space, manifest a strong local presence by reaching out into public spaces and temporary locations in the city; and establish an active international presence through engagement in fairs, debates, collaborations, publications and events.
HELSINKI CONTEMPORARY emphasises the importance of experiencing works of art on site, together with other people.
