Virvik Golf

Virvik Golf ry, founded in 1981, has an 18-hole course in an idyllic manor environment, by the sea only about a 15-minute drive southeast of Porvoo. From Helsinki, the journey takes place mainly along the motorway in about 40-60 minutes. The course is spacious and the fairways are very versatile. The field has the driver’s dream lanes and sometimes even high-precision lanes. When playing on the red bricks (4885 m) the field is quite gentle, but when moving on the yellow bricks (5615 m) it is very challenging in some places, but the field rewards well for good performance. The rounds go faster than usual due to good field planning and short transitions, as well as small elevation differences, so you can focus better on the game itself and its development.

The development of the player has been well taken into account in the design of the field. As the strokes lengthen and the skills improve, there is an opportunity to play the field with a wide variety of strategies and thus get deeper into the secrets of golf. On a windless warm summer evening, it’s soothing to sit down for a moment while waiting for the batting turn and listen to how quiet it can sometimes be.
