Karkutahko offers quality holiday accommodation in Tahko

Karkutahko has three holiday cottages located just 1.5 km from the western slopes of the Tahko Ski Centre. Here you can enjoy the peace of Tahko’s rugged landscapes, but still be close to all Nilsiä and Tahko services.

The beautiful scenery of Rahasmäki and Välimäki is worth a visit all year round. You can hike, cycle MTB, cross-country ski, snowmobile on officially marked trails, ski, fish (e.g. near Erälampia), or even pick woodland berries. Or simply relax and enjoy the peace and quiet in breathtaking surroundings.

All three Karkutahko holiday cottages are high-quality, and well-equipped. The cabins can accommodate up to 10 people; for example, perfect for two families to stay in spacious accommodations.

The cottages have wireless internet connection, and quality karaoke equipment is also provided. Their are cozy fireplaces, and logpile amply stocked with firewood, and other necessities such as filter bags for coffee machines, kitchen towels and toilet paper, and detergents are all included in the price.

Directly from the yard access official, there is marked skiing track, while the yard itselfs contains an artificial pond in which to swim, about 1.5 m deep.

Cottages are well suited for families with children, even the smallest of children.
Children in the yard have their own cross-country skiing track, and an ice skating rink.
There is a Playstation 3 + games and movies in Karkutahko 1A and 1B,
and a Wii and Playstation 2 + games and movies in Karkutahko 2.
