Arctic Reindeer
Arctic Reindeer Farm Merkku is a reindeer farm built in 2006 near Santa Claus Village. We are open only for groups, and our group customers must book in advance.
We provide unforgettable programmes with these nice, lovable, gentle animals. All our reindeer are trained by ourselves: these semi-wild animals are intelligent and learn fast after taming, but they can be very stubborn if they choose.
Our own family farm is far from Rovaniemi, so we decided in 2006 to bring the reindeer closer to people. We have built the reindeer farm using old logs and by honoring the old Lappish traditions of log construction.
