With Eckerö Line’s m/s Finlandia, Tallinn is closer than ever: the travel time will be reduced to two and a half hours. This new ship has awakened great interest among our clientele. We arranged a competition about its name, receiving many more proposals than we had expected: almost 12 000. “Finlandia” was the great favourite. As the name of the new vessel suggests, being Finnish is important to us. Like the Nordlandia, the Finlandia sails under the Finnish flag. Being Finnish shows aboard the vessel: it is present in the cuisine, entertainment, interior decoration and even in the names of the restaurants. Although the vessel will be different, Eckerö Line’s cosy atmosphere and friendly, service-minded attitude will remain the same. The comfort of travel and of life aboard are about to reach new, high standards, and there will be even more to do aboard than previously. The new vessel boasts six restaurants, two shops and conference facilities. The new vessel can take as many as 2 000 passengers and the spacious vehicle deck has room for more than 650 vehicles.
