Hotel Ax

Hotel AX in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki is a completely new kind of a playground for arts and a place for rejuvenating inspiration. This unique hotel was developed in a collaboration between leading Finnish contemporary artists, and created an environment with the aim of being the gateway to Helsinki’s art world. From day one, the hotel has played an important part of creating the new vibrant Jätkäsaari district. Recently, Hotel Ax also received Finland’s Leading Design Hotel 2023 at the World Travel Awards.

The AX Standrard room is bright and atmospheric, equipped with modern luxuries to carry guests far away from everyday stress and duties. The Art Exhibit King rooms are unprecedented compositions created by eight Finnish artists. The only thing these wildly different rooms have in common is a soft but sturdy bed and a bathroom. The gorgeous Corner combines two hotel rooms, and you can even invite your friends to enjoy a lovely art hotel experience together. Corner Studio’s stylish living room offers a vibrant city view from the top floors of the hotel through an elegant, large corner window, while the separate bedroom is the perfect spot for rest and relaxation. All our rooms offer a coffee and tea selection and a water boiler. You can also order a minibar selection of the guests’ desired theme.

In Ax Restaurant, sustainable, seasonal ingredients, local delicacies, and rich flavours from around the world merge into an art of taste in the hands of our kitchen artists. AX Restaurant boldly combines spices and flavours from around the world in both classic and modern dishes. This is the door not only to food and drink that stroke the taste buds, but also to a world of art that surprises, enchants, and evokes emotions. In the summer time, the facilities of our restaurant extend to the garden-like courtyard terrace, AX Garden. Resembling an oasis, AX Garden is a meeting place created in cooperation with Kyrö Distillery, where we serve our á la carte dishes and refreshing Kyrö summer drinks.
