House of Nobility (Ritarihuone)

The Swedish-born architect G. T. Chiewitz draw the neo-gothic plan for the palace and it was was completed in 1862, suitably for the Diet of all four estates in 1863. The interior of the palace is largely designed by the decorators of that time. The west wing of the building is rented for private functions, whereas the east wing is for the purposes of the nobility. The assembly hall and board room is 464 sq. meters and is rented to companies, organizations and societies for banquets, cocktail receptions, concerts and meetings in a unique milieu.
