Kultaranta Garden
Kultaranta on the opposite side of Naantalinlahti Bay is perhaps the best known summer residence in Finland. The President of Finland resides in Kultaranta in the summertime, and so Naantali could well be called the Holiday Capital of Finland.
It is possible to visit the beautiful garden surrounding the granite castle completed in 1916 and designed by Lars Sonck for tradesman Alfred Kordelin. The beautifully preserved formal garden was among the first in Finland; a woodland garden on rocky terrain is also part of the garden area.
