Lemmenjoki National Park

Lemmenjoki National Park, located in Finnish Lapland near the village of Inari, is a true wilderness dream. It is not only Finland’s largest national park, but also one of Europe’s most extensive uninhabited and roadless backwoods, covering over 2,800 square kilometers of untouched nature.

The landscape is dominated by vast fells, deep forested valleys, and winding rivers. The Lemmenjoki River, flowing through a remote valley, offers boat trips into the heart of the wilderness — an unforgettable experience surrounded by silence and stunning views.

Lemmenjoki also shares a border with Norway’s Øvre Anárjohka National Park (dirnat.no), forming a vast protected area across national borders. In addition to nature conservation, Lemmenjoki plays a vital role in reindeer herding and traditional Sámi livelihoods.
