Mältinranta Art Centre
Mältinranta Artcenter, operated by Tampere Artists´ Association, is situated near the Tampere City center, in beautiful park surroundings next to Tammerkoski rapids and the Finlayson area. The red brick building of Mältinranta was built in 1926 and served for decades as a water refinery, but as its operations were moved elsewhere, it was renovated by the City of Tampere and rented to Tampere Artists´ Association in 1983. In addition to two gallery rooms it houses the office and graphics workshop of the Association. Since 2000 there has also been an Art Lending Service in the premises.
