Pikkupalatsi – Little Palace
The first superintendent of Finlayson Mills, Christian Bruun, commissioned the architect Frederick Thesleff to design a residence suitable for his needs, and those of his subordinates. The resulting Pikkupalatsi, or Little Palace, was completed in the 1890s, in the Neo-Renaissance style. Recently restored, it was recently converted back into a private home, but it continues to act as a venue for recitals, concerts and other events, and there are guided tours of the building available.
