Rovaniemi Art Museum

The focus of the Rovaniemi Art Museum is on Finnish contemporary art, Nordic and indigenous peoples’ art, and communal and environmental art. The annual exhibition programme introduces the works of artist who either live or were born in Lapland, the collection of the Jenny and Antti Wihuri’s Fund, and explores current phenomena in both domestic and international contemporary art. The museum’s operations are based on the interaction of art, science, culture, and society in close cooperation with the University of Lapland and its multicultural society.

Rovaniemi Art Museum is going to be totally renovated totally and re-opened as a culture house Korundi in 2011.
