Tampere City Library Metso
Tampere City Library Metso is a unique building designed by renowned Finnish architects Reima and Raili Pietilä and completed in 1986. From above the building takes the shape of a woodgrouse, from which it derives its name. The facade is constructed of granite, copper and wiborgite. The library houses a music department, childrens’ section, as well as a reference library and silent reading room. There is free internet access available.
