The Spring of the King

 

In 1753 King Adolf Frederik of Sweden was travelling from Ilmajoki to Hämeenlinna passing by Kankaanpää, when he stopped for a drink at a spring that well known to travellers for years, and famous for the purity of its water. Since then, the spring has been called “Kuninkaanlähde” – the spring of the King.
