Titanik-galleria
On the shore of Aura River in Turku, Finland, lies the biggest contemporary art gallery of the city, called Titanik. Titanik Gallery was founded in February 1988 by Artist’s Assocoation Arte. Along with exhibitions Titanik runs an international artist residency programme, which focuses specifically on sound art during 2013-2014.
Titanik gallery is a well-known platform for upcoming artists and unconventional art. The exhibitions are selected by a Gallery Committee, which consists of professional visual artists. Since 2010 the exhibitions calendar has been created around a specific theme, that changes bi-annually.
