Uurainen Church – Church of Open Hearts

Uurainen Church was built in 1905 and designed by Yrjö Blomstedt. Its name stems from the church’s heart decorations, of which there are over 1 000. Uurainen museum of local history and culture is located in the immediate vicinity of the church and bell tower. The church and bell tower are open in summer 10-15 and admission is free. The museum is open only by prior arrangement.
