Workers´and Hairdresser´s Museums

The Hairdressers’ Museum and the Workers’ Museum, located in the Marttala museum area. The Kemi Worker’s Museum opened to the public 1983. The museum presents a sawmills worker’s house from the 1910s, a factory worker’s house from the 1930s and a professional labourer’s dwelling from the same period. The Hairdresser’s Museum opened in 1989, and presents a collection of artifacts from the the early 1900s to the 1960s.
