Getting to Jyväskylä from just about anywhere in Finland is quick and easy. Just 270km from Helsinki, it is situated at the confluence of a number of trunk roads, served by Tikkakoski airport, and having good rail connections with the rest of the country. There are several flights from Helsinki every day, the journey taking just 40 minutes, and even more trains connect the two cities, with a journey time of around 3 hours.
