Getting Around Helsinki

Getting to Helsinki couldn’t be easier. The international airport, Helsinki-Vantaa, connects Finland to Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia, while the ports serve ferries to and from Germany, Sweden, and Estonia. There is also a regular rail service connecting Helsinki with St. Petersburg and Moscow in Russia.
Between the beginning of May and the end of September visitors to Helsinki also have the chance to expand their culinary experiences by taking a ferry to the idyllic island restaurants situated in the beautiful archipelago. Here the menus will feature the freshest fish caught locally, as well as locally sourced vegetables and meat, and the dining experience is definitely enhanced by the wonderful settings.
